It will also grace your table or kitchen as an excellent conversation piece.  The smooth twist handle and high quality ceramic grinding mechanism makes for easy grinding of salt or pepper. The grind can be adjusted by turning the top knob for fine or coarse grind. Only a ceramic center allows for the use of salt, perfect for all the fancy salts available. The various pepper berries may be used together or separately depending on the desired out come. The metal has a Chrome and Black Enamel finish. The exotic woods: Bubingia(Africa), Cumaru (C&S America), Hawaiian Sweet Gum ( Oceania & Hawaii), Ebony (Southeast Asia), Lacewood ( C&S America), Paduak (Africa), Purpleheart (South America), Red Grandis (South America), Tiger Wood (Brazil), Yellowheart (South America), Zebrawood (Africa), and Bird's Eye Maple (USA)  in these mills has been turned to display the very interesting grain and color. As it is turned the beautiful grain appears and changes through out the wood.  No two are the same due to the grain. The color and grain in the wood are truly outstanding. The small amounts of wood in contrast to the large amounts add even more contrast and interest. They are sold as a set with the shape being the same. The grains differ making it easy to distinguish the pepper from the salt. They have a very comfortable feel.  It has a very durable food safe finish applied by hand. They can be washed with soap & water, then dried.  They CAN NOT be put in a dishwasher.  If they appear dry or feel dry apply mineral oil and buff with a microfiber cloth.
